An antique turn-of-the-century oil painting on canvas by well-listed American artist, Milton H. Lowell (New York; 1848 – 1927). The painting depicts a forested landscape with two diverging paths. On the path leading deeper into the woods there is a hunter holding a gun and on the path leading towards a lake is a rabbit. Artist signature is signed in black paint to the lower right corner. The piece is set in its original antique ornate gilt wood frame.
Condition
- craquelure and accretion across painting. Light age discoloration to pigments. Wear to frame.
