A hand-knotted carved Chinese wool area rug. This rug features carved pile with a dark pink colored field, showing a central floral medallion, along with floral and scroll motifs to the spandrels and ivory border. The patterns are shown in colors of rose, cream, deep green, and light red hues. The rug is finished with wrapped edges and a braided extended natural wool warp knotted fringe, and goes unmarked.
