A hand-knotted Indo-Bijar area rug. The rug features a herati pattern of floral palmettes and lancet leaves in a palette of deep red, powder blue, pink, and cream on a taupe field. The field is enclosed by a compound border that features a rosette herati pattern with floral palmettes throughout in a matching palette with a black background. The rug has an overcast edge with a short knotted fringe to either end. Not marked.
