Signed Horsehair Raku Wedding Vase

Item Details

A hand thrown horsehair raku wedding vase. This decorative vase features dark lines and shadowing on an ivory-colored surface with a dyed Howlite stone ‘flower’ and white incised flower background centered on the body between the two spouts. The spouts, which flare out to opposite ends, are connected by an arching handle. The other side of the vase features a line-drawn bird. The work is signed to the base ‘T Vail’, likely for the known Navajo potter.
