A hand-knotted Ghiordes prayer rug. This Turkish wool rug features a stepped mihrab, chandelier, paired columns, and pedestal vase over a cranberry field. The palette is cranberry, midnight blue, pink, and cerulean. Framing the field are four borders, including a primary border grounded in midnight blue, featuring repeating star florets. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with short kilim skirts and long ivory braided warp fringe. Unlabeled.
