A handwoven and embroidered North African area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of cherry, aqua, ivory, and peach. Its field features narrow horizontal panels, each embroidered with a geometric design, including chevrons, lattices, and diamonds. The field is framed by a border featuring concentric diamond and half-diamonds. Selvedges are double overcast. On end is hand-finished with a kilim skirt in cherry; the other end has long red wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
