Offset Lithographs After Cydney Grossman of Young Dancers
Item Details
A pair of offset lithographs on paper after Cydney Grossman (born 1909). Both pieces depict a pair of young ballerinas. In one, titled Between the Acts, one blonde girl adjusts her tutu while a redhead behind her leans over to fix her shoes. The second piece depicts a girl with red hair and a boy in a yellow and black costume engaged in a dance. The girl smiles at the viewer, while the boy’s face is hidden behind her. Both prints are signed in plate to the lower right. They are presented behind mats and glass in wood frames that are wired for hanging.
Condition
- light abrasion wear to the frames; toning to mats; tears in paper backing.
