Vintage Federal Style Double Eagle Wall Mirror

Item Details

A vintage Federal style wall mirror. The rectangular mirror is set vertically in a wooden frame with gold tone accents. The frame is topped with a double eagle pediment, the necks and heads of the birds forming a broken arch. They are set on either side of a medallion topped with garland, and floral and scroll applied accents extend from the curled ears down the sides and curl around the base, ending at a double scroll over shell finial. It has two wires fashioned into hanging loops affixed to the back.

wear consistent with age: discoloration, marks, and scratches.
