A vintage Royal Doulton Southern Belle figurine. This work depicts a young woman in a mid-19th century ball gown. A dainty blue shoe is spied beneath the dress and crinoline. The hollow piece is marked at the base ‘Hand made and hand decorated – Royal Doulton Made in England – Bone China – HN 2229 – Southern Belle’ and ‘Modelled by Peggy Davies – Royal Doulton Tableware Limited – 1957’.
