A 1940 illustrated edition of Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass. This edition of the poetry collection, selected and with an introduction by Christopher Morley, was published by Doubleday, Doran & Co., Inc. of New York in 1940. The book is bound in green coarse-woven linen cloth on board and features color and black-and-white illustrations by Lewis C. Daniel.

- significant fading and some fraying to cloth; shaken but tight binding; edge wear; loose hinges; page discoloration; bowing; does not include slipcase box.
