A cast bronze figural sculpture, by Jimilu Mason, depicting a bearded figure on horse or donkey, mounted to a dark marble, plinth base. The sculpture is etched signed, ‘Jimilu 1967’ and has a cast foundry mark, ‘Fonderia Luigi Tommasi Pietrasanta’.

Jimilu Mason was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, then moved to Washington, DC. She served on the National Council of Art, from 1966-1972, appointed by president Lyndon B. Johnson.

- marble base has a chip to one lower corner.
