A watercolor painting on paper of a woman with a fruit basket by listed artist, Jovan Obican (1918 – 1986). This whimsical painting depicts a woman wearing a headdress and brightly colored garments, carrying a basket of fruit. It is signed by hand to the lower right corner. This work is matted in pink and presented behind glass in a wooden frame with a paper backing and hanging hardware to the verso. Affixed to the verso is a printed note of provenance.

Condition

- slight toning and foxing to composition; slightly dusty; surface scratching and nicks to frame; minor wear throughout frame’s finish.
