A vintage mahogany writing desk by The Widdicomb Furniture Co. This piece includes a pediment splash with decorative molding and a scalloped document receiver. The piece features a rectangular top with notched corners and beveled edge overhanging apron sides and front. The front includes angled and chamfered stiles and a drawer with decorative, figured veneers, loop pulls and applied scroll and shell moldings. The piece rises up on turned trumpet legs with an H-stretcher attached and it is marked "The Widdicomb Furniture Co" to the interior of the drawer.
