A Chinese hand-painted ceramic vase. This cylindrical vase features a hand-painted motif of lotus and other flowers sprouting on lush, curling stems. Seen around the composition are various birds and animals, including herons, butterflies and frogs. This is contained by multiple bands of foliate patterning in a pastel palette. Found to the underside is a ‘Made in China’ sticker.
