Tracey English Hand Painted Silk Scarf "Tower of London"
Item Details
A hand-painted silk scarf titled ‘Tower of London’ by Tracey English. This scarf was illustrated using a drawn wax-resist to preserve white areas and then painted to depict the Tower of London and surrounding buildings and trees. A border surrounding the center has the title and media written in white, as well as the date ‘1988’ repeated around the edge, and the artist’s name once on the right side. An outer border of blue with purple squares and colored dots finishes the piece. A business card for Fortunate Discoveries is affixed to the verso. The piece is presented behind a mat and glass in a thin metal frame that is wired for hanging.
Condition
- slight scratching to the frame and the glass; wear to the verso.
