Antique Medailles D'Or Porcelaine Opaque Plates
Item Details
A set of nine antique Medailles D’Or Porcelaine Opaque plates. Each features a different transferred scene with hand-painted accents illustrating the actions of the Duc D’Orleans during the French Revolution to the center of the plate. The Duc D’Orleans was a strong supporter of the Revolution. The border of each plate features a gray ground with eagles, garlands and wreaths around the locations illustrated in the scenes. The underside of each plate is marked Porcelain Opaque, Medailles D’Or, 1834 et 1839, Lebeuf Milliet, Creill et Montereau to the underside.

- two plates severely cracked and repaired
