Antique Porcelain Pitcher with Masonic Symbolism
Item Details
An antique porcelain pitcher with Masonic symbolism. This pitcher features a wide mouth with a pointed spout, a scrolling angular handle, and a round tapered body. The neck of the pitcher is decorated with a metallic trim and a painted design of birds and leaves. The front of the pitcher is marked ‘John &, Jane, Morris 1825’ and features a written passage on the front along with a variety of masonic symbols and flowers. The base of this piece is unmarked.
Condition
- surface scratches and wear throughout; discoloration and wear to design; cracking to the base of pitcher; chipping to the rim of the pitcher; heavy chipping on the spout.
