A set of two 1988 folk art painted wooden rattlesnakes by American artist Michael Ives. The snakes feature winding bodies and open mouths with protruding fangs; one also includes a rattler that extends outward from the piece at a 90 degree angle. The items are painted with bright pastel hues accented with whimsical patterns. Each work is signed ‘Michael Ives, 1988’ in pink paint to the verso.
