Pastel on paper

A pastel drawing on toned paper of a portrait. This drawing depicts a person in front portraiture, rendered with frenetic, gestural lines with minimal shading. It features a palette of magenta, yellow, blue and white, which is layered on black paper. To the lower right corner of the composition is an illegible artist signature. The drawing is presented under glass beneath matting in a black metal frame. To the verso is affixed hanging wire and a handwritten note of provenance.
