A hand-knotted Anatolian wool carpet runner. It features a pattern of large, stylized ’boteh_ in the field, in bright blue, ivory and deep red, flanked by black to deep blue hooked medallions and florets on a lightly abrashed cherry red field. It has a complex, compound border with a modified crab pattern on an ivory field, flanked by black floral guard borders. It has thick, mutlicolored triple overcast edges and natural, undyed goat wool fringe to each end. Tagged with production numbers to reverse.
