This collection includes Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary: Provincial Manners, translated by Eleanor Marx-Aveling and published by Gibbings & Company of London in 1909; and one volume from The Novels and Tales of Robert Louis Stevenson (New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1900), containing The Merry Men and Other Tales and Fables and Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Both books are bound in cloth-covered boards with gilt spine decoration.
