Antique Continental Walnut Commode, Circa 1800 - 1840
Item Details
An antique, circa 1800 – 1840, continental walnut-veneered commode. The Neoclassical commode features a rectangular top with a faux-tortoise, painted finish. There are two hand-dovetailed drawers below, fitted with brass locks and ring pulls, as well as ornate sunburst escutcheons. The commode rests on straight, square legs. There are no maker’s marks.

- Please be advised, furniture items must be picked up and removed by winning bidder during the scheduled pick-up time on pick-up day. A moving charge will be incurred by winning bidders for any items not picked up. If winning bidder chooses to not have the item moved for alternate pick-up, the winning bidder will incur a disposal fee to have the item removed.
Condition
- to fair; wear throughout, consistent with age and normal use; one 21.5" crack going through the top; veneer cracks to drawer fronts and some shrinkage cracks inside of the drawers; includes original skeleton key, which is taped to inside of one drawer (see last image).
