Restrike Mezzotint After Sir Joshua Reynolds' "Lady Bampfylde"

A restrike mezzotint on paper after a 1779 engraving by Thomas Watson (English, 1743-1781), in turn after an original 1776 painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds (English, 1723-1792), currently in the permanent collection of the Tate Britain. This depicts Catherine, Lady Bampfylde (1754-1832), dressed in white, and leaning against a stone pedestal within an idyllic English landscape. This is presented with a French mat with black, gold tone and blue borders, under glass, in a gold tone wood frame that is wired for hanging.
Condition
- some toning to the print and mat; minor wear to the finish of the frame.
