Signed Original Oil Painting on Canvas of the Tell Asmar Hoard
Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas, initialed ‘AC’ by the artist to the lower center. This image depicts the Tell Asmar Hoard, the group of twelve stone statues dating from 2900–2350 B.C that were discovered in Eshnunna in 1933, and are believed to represent worshipers of the Sumerian god Abu. This work is presented in a narrow black painted wooden frame that is wired for hanging.
