A semi-antique wool Daghestani soumak area rug. This rug features a royal blue background with a red lattice pattern of large star medallions, featuring multicolored florets and red geometric grids filled with multi colored medallions and star forms in burgundy, orange, blues and ochre, framed by a compound border of hooked and octagonal elements in the overall field colors. It has double overcast edges and natural, undyed wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
