An original signed oil on canvas by Dutch and French painter Jacques Van den Bussche (b. 1925) titled ‘Port de Cassis.’ This painting depicts the marina in Cassis, France on a sunny cold day. To the foreground are boats line up against a walkway with people walking about the square. To the background are yellow and red buildings with tall hills and mountains behind them. This colorful painting is signed by the artist to the lower right corner and housed ina wooden frame with a linen mat. The painting is titled to the verso.
Condition
Good-fair: – craquelure across upper edge; small areas of paintloss to upper right corner, center or right side, lower right corner; abrasions along lower edge; yellowing to painting; scattered light stains; stains to linen liner; wear to frame finish.
