A handwoven semi-antique Persian Hajjalili Tabriz wool area rug. This rug features a red field with a violet and ivory central medallion filled, and surrounded with floral motifs along with flower sprays, and leaf motifs, and urn motifs to the spandrels. The rug also shows colors in rose, greens, pale blue, amber, sepia, and sand, featuring a bold floral border along with guard borders in a herati pattern and mountain pattern. This piece is finished with overcast edges with a short natural warp ivory fringe, marked with a tag that reads ‘Made in Iran’.
