Collection of Chinese and Mexican Trinket Boxes
Item Details
A collection of three Chinese and one Mexican trinket boxes. Included in this collection is a box with an extensive inscription, a box with an embossed floral motif, and a metal box with a red and blue floral illustration on the lid. Two of these are marked ‘China’ to the underside. The inscribed box has an affixed export seal on the underside. Also included is a a box with an iridescent shell layered on the surface, marked ‘Mexico’ to the underside.
Condition
- box with asian script might have been filled with paint at some point
- box with floral motif(not the white top one) insides appear to have warped a little
- all boxes show wear consistent with age and use
