A Louis XVI style tuxedo sofa by The Zimmerman Collection. This piece has a brown leather upholstery with diamond lattice embossing to the inside of the backrest and the armrests, with woven fabric upholstery to the outside of the back and arms. The back and sides are arched in the center, and accented along their edges with a nailhead trim. There are carved finials to each corner. It has a single seat cushion, upholstered with brown leather to the top and printed fabric on the sides; included are numerous throw pillows, as well as two bolster pillows upholstered to match the seat cushion. The wood base is raised on tapered, fluted feet, which sit under carved floral medallions along the apron. The maker’s mark is on the deck beneath the seat cushion. Matching armchairs are in 17DAL155-046 and 17DAL155-047.
