A pair of 1801 English sterling silver footed salt cellars with cobalt blue glass liners by Solomon Hougham. These salt cellars feature a hand-chased ribbon and dot motif with center etched cartouche. There are London hallmarks to the base including the maker’s mark, the lion passant, the date mark for 1801 and the George III duty mark. Total approximate weight excluding the blue glass liners is 4.050 ozt.
