A serving ladle comprised of nickel and brass. This features an oval bowl, volute shoulders and a narrow stem that leads to a segmented roundel and flaring handle. It is ornamented with a round medallion depicting a helmeted figure in shallow relief, a style that became popular with American silversmiths in the 1880s.
