A sterling silver coffee and tea service by Henry Birks & Sons of Montreal, Quebec. This set includes a coffee pot, a teapot, a sugar bowl, a creamer, and a waste bowl, and each hollowware piece features an engraved design to the exterior. They are marked ‘Birks Sterling’ underneath. Also included is a Whiting Manufacturing Co. sugar spoon in the Imperial Queen pattern, a strainer by Watson Co. with glass bowl holder, and a silver plated tray by Harrison Brothers & Howson. Each is marked for sterling fineness, except the silver plated tray. The total approximate weight of the sterling items is 65.895 ozt. including the wooden handles on the teapot and coffee pot.
Condition
- to fair; mild surface wear scratches including faint markings and mild tarnishing, notably to the interiors; tray shows quite a bit of wear on top.
