Antique G. T. Mountford "Seville" Cheese Keeper
Item Details
A circa 1888 earthenware chesse keeper in the Seville pattern, produced by George Thomas Mountford in Stoke. This piece features an angled lid decorated with red flowers and brown scrolling foliate shapes, accented in sponged gilt. The rectangular plate has a wavy rim with shell designs in each corner. Stamped to the interior of the lid is ‘GTM Stoke Seville RN 96042’.
Condition
- light marks and wear consistent with age.
