A ‘Battle of Gonzales’ Come and Take It flag. The Texas Revolution was started with the ‘Battle of Gonzales’. It was fought between Texas settlers and Mexican soldiers. The battle was fought near Gonzales,Texas on October 2, 1835 in order to retrieve the cannon. Please see the link below.
