A hand-knotted Kazak area rug. The rug features three central rounded geometric medallions in dark blue, yellow, light blue, and pink on a dark red field with surrounded medallions in a complementary palette.At either end are two animal guls in yellow. The field is enclosed by a compound border that features a Kazak pattern throughout the primary border of large floral medallions with smaller surrounding florals in a complementary palette on a cream background with a Laleh Abbasi guard border. The rug has an overcast edge and a short wool fringe. Not marked.
