Herend Porcelain "Hadik Hussar" Figurines
Item Details
A pair of Herend porcelain Hadik Hussar figurines, Herend, Hungary. Depicted is the 18th-century Field Marshal of the Habsburg Army, András Hadik (1710-1790), who commanded calvary soldiers known as Hussars. Hand painted polychrome decoration with one depicting a tall standing Hadik and the other with Hadik slaying a dragon. Both are marked to the underside with cobalt stamps and impressed, ‘HEREND.’
