Antique Quartersawn Oak Side-by-Side Secretary Bookcase

Item Details

An antique side-by-side secretary bookcase. This oak piece has quartersawn fronts to the cabinet and desk, has scroll and floral applied accents, and rests on cabriole bracket feet with a scalloped apron to the front. The left side has an enclosed cabinet with four removable wooden shelves behind a glass paned door. The right side has a half shelf on turned spindle support over a slant-front secretary over a drawer and cabinet. Inside the desk are raised pigeonholes. The drawer has two brass bails on pierced filigree plates, and each opening has a brass escutcheon. Two keys are included.
