A Japanese hand-painted lacquered wood kimono stand. The hand-painted wood stand is hinged in the center, with two sides, featuring an overhanging horizontal bar on the tops, and horizontal bars in the centers. The rack or stand rests on a base with short feet. The rack is lacquered in black, with hand-painted stylized nature scenes including birds, a river, reeds and grasses and stylized vines. No maker’s marks.
