Chinese Export Ware Ceramic Box

Item Details

An ornately decorated Chinese ceramic box with a brass toned flower finial and band accentuating the gentle fluting. Decorated on a ground of green with scrolling flourishes, this box is embellished with panels of naturalistic scenes of birds perched on floral branches. The exterior and interior of the box is treated with a craquelure glaze, The bottom is signed ‘Hua rong tang zhi’ (華榮堂製).

Condition

Markings commensurate with age and use.
