A limited edition miniature lithograph after an oil painting by Carl Barks (American, 1901 – 2000) titled Menace Out of the Myths. It depicts Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge the Donald’s three nephews threatened by a winged monster as they search for the Golden Fleece in a scene from mythology. It is signed in the plate to the lower left and by hand to the lower right margin and numbered 95/100. It is blind stamped ‘The Walt Disney Company’ and ‘Gold Plate Edition’ is printed to the lower left margin. The print is mounted under glass with gilt and beige linen-textured layered mats in a gilt wood frame that is wired for hanging. A Certificate of Authenticity is attached to the verso. Carl Barks was a cartoonist and painter and the artist for Donald Duck comic books.
