Item Details
A hand colored etching of a woman with sword and shield. This intaglio print depicts a woman warrior with gold tone breastplate, shield, and sword. To her right stands an obelisk with a burning torch, discarded weapons, and a lion with a woman’s head. The ground around her is littered with torn books, a compass & straight edge, a painter’s palette, flags, swords, a cannon, a torch, and a small dragon. The print is presented under glass with a French mat in a wood frame. Hanging wire to verso.
