Item Details
A pair of hand colored mezzotint engravings of horses. Includes one print titled ‘The Portrature of the Famous Horse Old Partner’ which depicts a man wearing an orange coat riding a brown horse through a hilly landscape. This print is marked to the lower corners ‘Seymour Oelin’ and ‘Houston fecit.’ Also included is a hand colored mezzotint titled ‘Childers the Fleetest Horse that Ever run at Newmarket’ also depicting a man wearing an orange coat riding a horse across a hilly landscape. This print is also marked to the lower corners ‘Seymour Oelin’ and ‘Houston fecit.’ Both prints are housed in silver tone frames.
