A conte crayon drawing on paper of a cavalier. This drawing depicts a man in an aristocratic coat, ruffled vest and sleeves standing with both legs cross in a contrapposto pose. He looks forward with a smirk, resting his weight on a pointed cane. The composition is rendered with gestural, clustered linework. To the lower right corner is an illegible artist signature. The drawing is presented under glass in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
