Item Details
A gouache painting on silk of birds. This painting depicts two squat birds reminiscent of parakeets perched on slender branches sprouting small, red berries. The birds are rendered with gestural, swirling applications of red, yellow, gray and white pigment. To the lower right corner of the composition is an illegible artist signature. The painting is presented under glass beneath a single-layered mat in a wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
