A hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool area rug. This rug features a red field with a central medallion in ivory and plum surrounded by elaborate floral and foliate motifs with undulated spandrels, bordered with a bold turquoise herati pattern with a pair of meandering carnation guard borders. This rug also shows colors of saffron, amber, green, and rose, and finished with overcast edges, and a natural warp ivory knotted fringe to the ends. Marked with a tag that reads, ‘Hand Made in Iran’.
