In the Style of Zsolnay Pottery Eosin Ware Vase

Item Details

A ceramic vase with eosin glaze in the style of Zsolnay Pottery. Hand painted with polychrome decoration and eosin glazes with an Asian style bamboo and red floral motif. The vase is marked to the underside with an unidentified and possibly false Zsolnay mark. The mark features a five churches mark with a small ‘x’ next to the right and below that, ‘ZSOLNAY/ HUNGARY/ ESTB 1852.’ Several other notations below that identify what appears to be a pattern number or design and then signed by the artist, ‘Mrs. Zsursa Vilmos.’
