A grouping of four lithograph prints on paper of political cartoons by Honore Daumier (1808 – 1879) published by Aubert. Included in this group are drawings with inscriptions in French beneath the images, under the headings Actualités, Emotions Parisiennes, and Les Beaux Jours de la Vie. Each print is signed in plate, with printer and publication information beneath the image. These prints are presented unframed under mats, in plastic sleeves without hanging hardware.
Condition
- discoloration to mats; stain to the lower left of one; moderate wear to edges and corners; toning, stains, and mat burn to prints throughout.
