A hand-knotted Akstafa wool area rug. The rug features an Akstafa peacock pattern throughout the dark blue field in a palette of orange and cream. The field is enclosed by a complex, compound border with layers of geometric, hooked and serrated meander bands in the field colors. The rug has overcast edges and a wool fringe to either end. Unlabeled.
