Item Details
A hand-knotted Caucasian Shirvan accent rug. This short-pile wool rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, mocha, camel, red, mustard, and cobalt. It features a lattice of hexagonal panels, each containing a hooked Zakatala medallion, over an ivory field. Framing the field are three borders with large-scale patterns. These include a leaf and cup main border over camel and mustard. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing with short undyed wool and goat hair warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
