This 1750’s pattern was derived from Chinese imagery but named in a manner that Germans and other Europeans could relate to. The pattern has been in production since that period by many firms including a piece in this collection which is as of yet unidentified. The other examples have the underglaze blue crossed swords marks for the Meissen factory.
